A young Ghanaian teacher and farmer who is impacting the economy by producing a multi-purpose edible insecticide oil from fever grass (Citronella oil) has broken new grounds with the addition of new bi-products.

Several commercial mango farmers in Kintampo -in Ghana’s Bono Region- say mango cultivation has the potential to transform the nation’s economy. They said despite the economic potential of the industry, government was prioritising other sectors such as cashew and cocoa cultivation whilst relegating mango farming to the background.
